Start: 19:00
End: 21:00

Speaker: John Wisker

Venue: City of Bristol College

7:00pm Refreshments, 7:30pm Main Talk

John Wisker is an MBA, MSP and PRINCE2 qualified professional. His start in IT was a baptism of fire, when with little IT knowledge he worked with a proscriptive vendor to implement the first computerised Point of Sale system in the photographic industry.

He rapidly acquired more IT expertise, and continued developing in a number of technical roles, progressing into IT project management. He managed several large complex outsourcing contracts and projects, before joining the NHS in 2008 to project manage effective delivery of informatics in a health care setting.

John passionately believes in the NHS, and that a step change in the way the health service exploits IT is a vital part of ensuring a sustainable health service for the future.

Because the Autumn school has been cancelled this is now a regular free branch meeting.
